The head of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is set to visit Palau on October 18 for the first time after 22 years.

JICA President Shinichi Kitaoka is expected to arrive in the country Thursday night, October 17, and will depart on Saturday, October 18.

Press Secretary Olkeriil Kazuo said that JICA President Kitaoka will visit Palau to look at how the agency can further enhance its initiatives in the country and other Pacific islands.
