Koror, Palau – January 15, 2024 – The Koror State Government continues its Resilient Reef Initiative efforts by signing a collaborative contract with the Island Time Crew to enhance and strengthen its organizational capacity as part of its Adaptive Management project.
Under the directive of Governor Rudimch and the RISL-RRI Steering Committee that consists of Director Olegeriil- Department of Conservation & Law Enforcement, Director Deanna Tmekei- Finance Department, Director Ngirmechaet – State and Cultural Affairs, and Chief Resilience Officer Andrea Uchel, this contract binds a critical step in supporting Koror State’s efforts to systematically assess and fortify its organizational capacity to build a Resilient Koror.
The Island Time Crew is a Palauan, U.S Veteran owned professional consulting company, comprised of dedicated professionals committed in making a difference in Palau.
Meet the Team: Island Time Crew is a Palauan, U.S. Veteran owned professional consulting company with partners Truman Skang and Mia Kuartei. Skang is a recently retired from 22 years serving in the U.S. Coast Guard and brings expertise in Marine Electrical Equipment & Machinery Control Systems, Environmental Disaster Response and Incident Management .
Mia Kuartei has a MEd in Instructional Design & Technology and has over 20 years of experience in Organizational Change Management, Program Development and Project Management in the non-profit sector with six years as a Program Manager for the U.S. Marine Corps.
Assisting on the project is Umerang Imetengel who brings more than 18 years of experience in project management, organizational change and development and human resource management. She has previously held several key Government positions in Palau including the Director of the (formerly) Bureau of Public Service System and Special Assistant to the President on the Our Oceans Conference. Umerang holds a Masters in Human Resource Management and a Bachelors in History from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Umerang also is a graduate of the Island Time Crew: Empowering Organizations with Expertise and Innovation.
