December 28, 2016 (Koror, Palau) The search for Ochob Jacee Soto Iyar on land and sea and in and around areas last seen by witnesses, was concluded last week, according to report from Belau Drug Enforcement Taskforce (BDEFT).

BDEFT, which was recently brought in to assist the investigation of Ms. Ochob Jacee Soto Iyar, reported that the investigation is still ongoing. They also reported that they need new information that will help them further the investigation.
In the last couple of weeks, the Ministry of Justice and BDEFT have scoured the entire area in and around the Koror State Solid Waste Compound and waters around it looking for anything that may lead them to the whereabouts of Ms. Iyar.
Number of witnesses had earlier reported seeing Ms. Iyar with her husband around Bayside Area and the Koror State Solid Waste Compound on the early morning of the 18th of September. Witnesses were able to describe clothes she wore that day and the vehicle they were in at the time.
The information was provided to the public and a call for people to help went out. The Office of the President also announced a reward of $5,000 dollars to anyone with information that may help in locating the missing woman.
