Palau’s top police officers are working with the Guam Police Department (GPD), Pacific Command (PACOM), the Secret Service, and other United States Federal agents in assessing hotels and venues that will be utilized during the country’s hosting of the Our Ocean 2020.
Public Safety Director Aloysius Alonz said that a GPD chief and the other security agents are currently here in the country to conduct a five-day security assessment that began on September 23.
Alonz said that the officers are currently assessing several hotels and venues that will be used during the Our Ocean conference next year.
Director Alonz said that Narcotics Enforcement Director Ismael Aguon and Correction Chief Ricky Ngiraked are working with the other agents in the assessment and will soon present a report to the Our Ocean 2020 committee. (Rhealyn C. Pojas)
