July 16, 2016 (Koror) Police officers responding to a call late Saturday afternoon to a house in Ikelau, Koror, found a man in a room, in kneeling position, already death by apparent hanging.

The man identified at Matthew Blailes, a 49 year old employee of Palau Public Utilities Corporation, was found in his room in a kneeling position with rope around his neck and tied to the ceiling.
According to reports, his brother cut the rope and called the police. His body was taken to the hospital.
No information is yet known about the possible reason for his death and the case is still under investigation. [/restrict]
