October 23, 2016 (Koror) The Mariana’s Outrigger Club men’s team dominated 2016 Micro Cup held in Palau this past weekend, sweeping first place in each category.
In the Open Men’s 500 meter, they came in with best time of 2:08:56 minutes besting clubs from Palau and Guam.

In the V6 Sprints Open Men’s 1,500 meter, they swept in ahead of Taotao Galaide Ma’aksom, Belau Kanu Club Waterfall, IFIT, PCC Mesekiu 1 and PCC Mesekiu 2.
In the long distance event, their final event, they also took the lead to win first place with time of 1 hour 28 minutes and 46 seconds.
The team, consist of their coach Dino Manning, James Lee, Rich Salas, Vince Tudela, Angel San Nicolas, Sapwinipwin Konak “Jack” Kabiriel, Jose Quan, Bobby Cruz and Billy Grow.
According to coach Manning, they have been practicing for five months. “Many of the guys are new. Some of team members from the 2014 competition had left and we had to recruit new members,” stated Manning in an interview.
“We are enjoying ourselves in this competition. The event is very well organized with few Palau organizers and still they’ve managed to organized so many events in one day, and do so very smoothly,” adding MOC coach Manning.
The event, hosted by Palau had participants from Micronesia and Asia such as Belau Kanu Club Waterfall, IFIT, Taotao Galaide Ma’aksom, PCC Mesekiu 1 and PCC Mesekiu3, Hong Kong United, Haggan GWM and Guatdan Tasi. [/restrict]
