KOROR, Palau — Maris Stella School and Mindszenty High School teamed up on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 for the annual Thanksgiving Outreach Program, embracing the spirit of giving and community service in a joint effort to support homebound Catholics
The program, which featured a half-day schedule, included all Maris Stella students from kindergarten to eighth grade, along with a group of ninth-grade students from Mindszenty High School. Younger Maris Stella’s students prepared gift baskets and prayer cards, while older students from both schools conducted home visits to homebound community members.
Accompanied by Eucharistic ministers, the students offered songs, prayers, and distributed Holy Communion, ensuring that individuals unable to attend church felt connected to their faith. Gift baskets, thoughtfully prepared by the younger students, were distributed during the visits.
“This outreach demonstrates the power of collaboration and the importance of giving back,” a school representative said. “It’s a valuable experience for students to see the impact of their efforts.”
The event highlighted the schools’ shared commitment to fostering compassion and service. Students, teachers, and Eucharistic ministers worked together to spread holiday cheer across Koror, creating meaningful connections with community members.
