Koror, Palau- On June 25, Matson Foundation presented a check for $1,000 to Palau Conservation Society (PCS).

On hand to receive the check from Mr. Eason & Mr. Kamerang was PCS executive director, Ms. Bola Majekobaje. Matson is one of PCS’s Corporate Partner for Conservation (CPC). For five years Matson has consistently contributed $1,000 to support PCS’s organizational goals. This year their contribution goes towards promoting sustainable development and responsible tourism throughout Palau and developing conservation projects with the island youth.

Matson has been supporting the needs of communities they serve and in which their employees live and work across the pacific since 1882. Matson’s business practice is to provide support for a variety of efforts to improve the quality of life. PCS mission -“to work with the community to preserve the nation’s unique natural environment and perpetuate its conservation ethic for the economic and social benefit of present and future generations of Palauans and for the enjoyment and education of all.” perfectly aligns with Matsons business practice.

In grateful recognition for five years of support and partnership PCS presents Matson with a certificate of appreciation which they sent to their office in Guam along with the receipt of their contribution. PCS is grateful to Matson Foundation for their never ending support and encourages business in Palau and the Micronesia region to join their Corporate Partner for Conservation (CPC) program. Every dollar donated to the organization ensures a vision of “Healthy Ecosystem for a Healthy Palau”. (PR)
