The Medical Civic Action Program (MEDCAP) of the Civic Action Team (CAT)had rendered free medical services to 633 patients within the first half of the period of their six-month deployment in Palau.

MEDCAP conducts health clinics every Monday to Friday at Camp Katuu and it also extends services by appointment during weekends. The program is one of the community and construction services that the team conducts in Palau.

MEDCAP had also conducted health screenings in Koror, Malakal, Ngaraard, Ngarchelong, and Kayangel.

It had also partnered with the Ministry of Health (MOH) to cut down invasive vines in the jungles every Saturday.

The CAT also has on-going projects such as the roof replacement for the Palau Red Cross connexs in Koror and the renovation of five rooms in the Belau National Hospital. (Rhealyn C. Pojas)
