Judy is well known in Palau for assisting with the writing of grant proposals and other government publications, but this work represents an entirely different direction for her.

The book is the result of over twenty years of personal research seeking the true identity of Winnie-the-Pooh; and her astonishing conclusion may just set the world of children’s literature on its ear.

All the evidence points to Sir Winston Spencer Churchill as being the basis for Pooh.

Along the way, Ms. Dean uncovered many other fascinating details about the stories, about author A. A. Milne and his son Christopher Robin, about Walt Disney’s take on the characters and about Winston Churchill.

She has even solved the riddle of the identity of the mysterious “Sanders” mentioned in Chapter I of Winnie-the-Pooh.  The book is available online from www.AbeBooks.com for $17.99 plus shipping.

MicroMedia Ink will sponsor a book launch for Ms. Dean’s new book on Thursday, February 1 from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Belau National Museum.

The book will be available for purchase and the author will be on hand to sign copies and share interesting details about her research, which took her as far as England.  The event is free and open to the public. [/restrict]
