The missing 44 years old female from the People’s Republic of China (PRC), Yumei Wang is believed to be deceased and assumed to be a victim of a homicide, even though her remains have not been found according to the police report forwarded to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Federated States of Micronesia.

The police report said that even though they believed she may be a victim of a criminal homicide they can’t confirm as they have not found the body.

Ms. Wang was reported to the police as missing on April 16 but after further investigations, the police believed that she may have gone missing sometime in the middle of March 2022.

According to Immigration records, Ms. Wang last entered the country in August of 2019 as an employee of the Island Paradise Resort.  Government records show that Ms. Wang has not left the country.

The investigation of the disappearance is still ongoing but it is assumed that Ms. Wang may have been a victim of foul play and that her remains have been concealed.

A person of interest who was known to the victim was reported to have departed Palau in early April.  The police have not confirmed or denied this information but they said the case is still undergoing active investigation at this time.
