Ngarchelong State voters head to the polls Tuesday for the state’s 12th General Election, choosing between incumbent Gov. Dwight Ngiraibai and challenger Hadley Renguul while also voting on eight proposed constitutional amendments and state Assembly races.

Ngarchelong, Palau (August 24, 2026) – Ngarchelong State will hold its 12th General Election on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, in accordance with Ngarchelong State Public Law No. 02-005, with polling sites designated for voters in Ngarchelong Proper and Ngarchelong Central.
Voters residing in Ngarchelong Proper are assigned to cast their ballots at the Immanuel Town Hall, Ngarchelong State Office, while voters in Koror will cast their votes in the Maris Stella Auditorium in Idid Hamlet, Koror State.
Ngarchelong voters will choose the state’s governor, a race between two candidates: challenger Hadley Renguul and incumbent governor Dwight Ngiraibai. Voters will also choose the state legislators running to represent Ngarchelong hamlets in the state Assembly, many of which are unopposed.
The August 25 Ngarchelong election will feature eight constitutional amendment proposals alongside contests for state offices.
The 12th General Election marks a significant moment for Ngarchelong residents as they head to the polls to choose their leadership and decide on proposed constitutional changes that could shape the state’s governance in the coming years.
