Koror, Palau (August 24, 2017)—The Palau Public Utilities Corporation (PPUC) raised electricity tariffs in July 2017 as follows: See attach table

PPUC Management Team informed the Board of Directors that the fuel component of the electricity tariff will remain the same at $0.19 per kWh for the first quarter of FY2018 (October-December 2017).

By a quorum vote earlier this month, the Board approved that there will be no changes to the AFPAC covering the period from October 1, 2017 to December 30, 2017. With the same fuel component rate of $0.19, PPUC is able to recover from the customer the actual cost of fuel in kWh from April to June 2017. Therefore, there will be NO INCREASE to the electricity tariffs and customers will continue to pay the same rates as shown on the table above. [/restrict]
