Office of Attorney General adds on a new attorney after months of waiting. Yesterday, the new AAG Christiaan D. Mitchell was sworn in by Justice Materne before joining the Office of Attorney General.
Attorney Mitchell is a graduate of William S. Richardson School of Law of the University of Hawaii where he graduated at top 7% of his class. He holds Masters in Philosophy from University of Hawaii and Masters in Education from University of Oklahoma.
Based on his resume, he has been in legal practice since 2014, working lot with family law, including domestic violence and child abuse, child support, housing, eviction, protective services among many similar types of cases related to family.
His last employment position was as staff attorney for Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma Inc. working cases as related above.
Office of Attorney General has been lacking in lawyers and Attorney General Ernestine Rengiil has reported in the past that they had been recruiting but pandemic has hampered their efforts to bring in the attorneys needed.
