Public Safety Director Aloysius Alonz reminded the public that no other person except the members of the national police is authorized to direct the traffic in the national highway.

Alonz’s reminders followed after finding out that some civilians would come out to the highway to direct traffic, especially in that area in front of Yano’s.

“Sometimes they come out and stop the cars on the highway and they are not supposed to do that,” Alonz said, adding that the police had never failed to remind these individuals that “if something happens in the highway, they will be responsible.”

Even the Koror State, according to Alonz, only directs traffic on secondary road.

Alonz reiterated that they should ask the police’s assistance in taking care of the highway traffic. (Rhealyn C. Pojas)
