Senate President Camsek Elias Chin officially cut the ceremonial ribbon to mark the formal opening, assisted by Mr. Nigel Wakley, the owner’s son.
“It’s been a long 3 years in the making and we are so glad it is done,” said Nigel on the completion of the resort. Mr. Nigel Wakley, the son of the owner, is no stranger to Palau, having lived here in the early 90’s. He did design for all the rooms in the resort. Being a Cove, the theme centered around the idea of a cove and of the ocean, resulting in a warm, inviting and yet classy rooms and facility.
“We had our very first guest, a Palauan from Peleliu two days before the grand opening,” added Nigel.
“It’s a high quality establishment but warm and inviting, very different from other properties in Palau,” commented many of the guests on their impressions of the resort.
The resort has 74 rooms, featuring standard and deluxe rooms with rates ranging from $180 per night to over $500 depending on the room and the season.[/restrict]
