Palau’s Judiciary welcomed its newest Senior Court Counsel for the year 2019-2020.
Jack Dafoe comes to the Palau Judiciary from Maine. He graduated magna cum laude from Yale in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature.
In 2012, Jack received his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as an article’s editor for the Michigan Journal of Environmental and Administrative Law.
Before joining the Palau Judiciary, he served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable D. Brock Hornby for the U.S. District Court of Maine; to the Honorable Thomas Humphrey for the Maine Supreme Judicial Court; to George Singal for the U.S. District Court of Maine; and, lastly, to the Honorable Kermit Lipez for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Jack is joined in Palau by his wife, Alejandra, and his son, Tom. Jack and his family hope to make new friends, explore Palau’s pristine environment, and learn about Palauan culture along the way. (PR)
