The latest power ranking passports listed Palau as the top three most powerful passports among the Pacific island nations, with free visa to 104 countries out of the 218 countries.
Palau is ranked 49th in the Henley and Partners Visa Restrictions Index 2016 global ranking. The index is produced in cooperation with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which “maintains the world’s largest database of travel information, and is published annually.

Palau enjoys travel in different countries compared to Fiji who ranked sixth among the Pacific island nations.
Palau has visa-free access to United States Under the Compact of Free Association, United Kingdom and several countries in Europe under the mutual visa waiver agreement with Schengen Area countries last year.
Samoa ranked first among the Pacific Islands nations with Tonga second and Federated States of Micronesia as the least powerful among the island countries.
In the world ranking, Germany ranked on top as the country, which the most visa-free access to 177 countries
Second is Sweden with 176 countries; third is Finland, France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom.
