Brandon L. Cruz, the current bank manager of Bank of Guam in Palau has been selected as Bank Manager of the year for 2020.

Bank of Guam Employee’s Recognition Program recognizes the exceptional efforts, contributions, and accomplishments of all Bank of Guam employees throughout the whole organization.

The event is held annually and this year the announcement was made virtually.

Bank Manger Brandon Cruz was recognized for his achievements in branch management, improved customer relations, civic involvement, and accomplishments of branch objectives.

Mr. Cruz started working as a teller for the Bank of Guam in 2007. The branch he started managing first was Andersen Air Force Base Location, then in 2018 he was given the opportunity to manage the Kosrae Branch in the Federated States of Micronesia.

After one year with Kosrae Branch, he was then given another opportunity to manage another branch for Bank of Guam this time in Palau.

Brandon L. Cruz moved to Palau in 2019 in which he mentioned that it has been a dream of his to move to Palau.

Mr. Cruz was happy when he heard the news of him being selected as the Bank Manager of the Year.

“I’m truly honored and grateful for being the recipient of the 2020 Bank of Guam Branch Manager of The Year award.” Said Cruz.

He went on to say that “It is the amazing employees that we have that has allowed me to lead and improve the level of service for the communities that we serve.”

During the ceremony, Mr. Cruz said that his team was present during his awarding and expressed their elation. Also expressing their congratulatory messages were President and CEO Joaquin L.G. Cook along with many other employees throughout the company.

Catching wind of this news was Palau Visitors Authority.

“On behalf of the Palau Visitors Authority, I would like to congratulate Mr. Brandon L. Cruz on becoming Bank of Guam’s 2020 Branch Manager of the Year! We would like to recognize his professionalism, diligent personal engagement with customers, commitment to supporting and engaging in community programs.” Stated Director Kadoi.

Mr. Cruz believes in leading with heart and to be compassionate, authentic, as well as persevere when challenges come.
