Palau’s Long Beach ranked 12th in the list of Top 50 Best Beaches in Oceania by the Flight Network.

Topping the list was the White Haven Beach in Queensland followed by Matira Beach in Bora Bora, French Polynesia, and Blinky Beach in Lorde Howe Island.

Palau’s Long Beach got a score of 9/10 for its “sheer untouched beauty” and “sand and water quality.”

Flight Network, a travel agency based in Canada, claimed it came up with the list after conferring with over 1,200 journalists, editors, bloggers, and agencies who are travel experts.

Travel experts voted on the beaches based on their personal and professional travel experiences in which the results were later analyzed and categorized by the Flight Network’s in-house travel experts.

“The sand looks and feels like white velvet and the crystal-clear ocean provides excellent visibility. If you venture into the water, be prepared to see turtles, colorful fish, and exotic coral,” the Flight Network said of the Long Beach and referred to it as a place where adventure-lovers can enjoy “endless kayaking, boating and off-roading options this land provides.” (Rhealyn C.
