Your Worth, your value in God’s eyes,.has nothing to do with what you do.

Carl Jung said, “Until we are able to make unconscious conscious it will direct your life and you call it fate.”  That’s the value of self awareness. The more we are aware of our own flaws, struggles, and shortcomings the better we are at evolving and flourishing in our life.

Bruce Lipton explained it this way,  “A conscious mind isa  creative mind. Our subconscious mind is a program mind, our habits.” St Paul calls the subconscious mind stronghold. Jesus prayed, -“Father forgive them for they know not what they do.”  He prayed for our subconscious mind. We really need help.

In the 80s when Microsoft software was introduced it was like explosion of lightning in the sky — what a relief!  I didn’t have to remember all the control keys. New program is always good like truth.  Paul tells us, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Like a computer, I needed to download new programs. This has been the theme of my journey – To the renewing of my mind to be transformed.

Some of us were neglected, physically, emotionally, or sexually abused. Some of us were labeled – name calling-  growing up, what we as  know as gaslighting.  “Ngilcha chebuul el ngalk el  chelutl ra… ”  was one of the first lies that had to go and be replaced with “I am loved, I have CHOICE. I have WORTH not because of my  accomplishments, possessions, or positions but  because of the Great I AM. And what Christ did  for on the cross. I am loved. I am secure. I am significant.

Last night I was watching a movie about Billy Graham’s early

life and his journey from his parents’ dairy farm to become the great evangelist that he was. He went to a tent meeting, came home and said to his mother the next day, “Mom I went to the tent meeting last night and an evangelist told everyone everything about me.” I laughed knowing how human beings are so alike. We are all looking for something better and bigger to satisfy our insatiable souls.

Encountering a God who was so different from the God of my childhood changed everything for me. His love and grace shook me to the core and changed the way I think forever. I never want to go back.

I learned new words like grace and mercy.  Grace is we receive what we don’t deserve. Mercy is you didnt get what you deserve. The unconditional love of GOD. It’s too good to be true.

The more I learned the more I realized how much I dont know. I believe that mind is a terrible thing to waste so I began to pay attention. We keep on keeping on feeding our minds with good things to replace our shame, our  fears, and our guilt for not being good enough. My father said to me that mind is like a good soil in need of good seeds to grow. What am I planting in my head. I realized the problem was the mind was covered with toxin,  trash and lies.  Time to clean up.

Have you ever said or done something and wondered,  “Where did that come from?” That’s the program that was downloaded to your subconscious growing up e chokiu medam e melibas er kau. Yes, our subconscious sabotage us. It derails our train of thoughts and mess us up. Listen to your feelings and thoughts before you say or do anything. Pay attention. Renew your mind with the truth that you were born for a purpose and everything you need to make that change is in you. You’re loved.

Renewing the mind is a long process. It takes courage and perseverance to pursue excellence.  And God is faithful. He’s there.  You’re not alone in the journey.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
