Palau Conservation Society celebrated its 29th-year anniversary with a gala highlighting its partners, notably its partnership with State governments. The successful gala was held at the Palau Royal Resort last evening, 12th of October, 2023, selling out more than 400 tickets worth $100 each.
Senator TJ Remengesau, Chairman of PCS Board, said strong partnerships and commitment with our partners over the years, strengthened the work of PCS in support of the environmental priorities of state governments and community stakeholders.

“I can’t emphasize how grateful we are for the support and commitment of our members, especially their regular salary allotments which have had tremendous impact on PCS work, even smallest amount each month,” Senator Remengesau added.
Palau Conservation Society, the first established community-led environmental organization, strived to work with government and all stakeholders to seek solutions and means of protecting Palau’s environment for the benefit of the people. It is a non-profit, non-government organization, funded through it fundraising efforts such as the annual gala dinner, individual donations through allotments or direct donations. It also funds programs through grants from like-minded outside donors. (By: L.N. Reklai)
