Palau Conservation Society (PCS) is grateful for support from the Embassy of theRepublic of China (Tawain). OnJuly 22, 2020,His Excellency Wallace M. G. Chow made a generous donation of $1,000 to PCS which was presentedto PCS Chairman David A. Orrukem and Executive Director Bola Majekobaje.
With the help of donors, PCS provided 200 students with the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the global fight against marine plastic pollution. With this latest donation, more Palauan students will learn about the importance of protecting Palau’s environment through the development of a new children’s book focused on climate change and gender.
Generous donors and international partners such as the Embassy of Republic of China (Taiwan) play a significant role in protecting Palau’s pristine environment. They understand that the health of Palau’s ecosystems is directly related to the health of Palauan livelihoods and the economy.
The PCS Board of Directors and staff would like to express their gratitude to His Excellency and the Taiwan Embassyfor their continued support, especially in these difficult times. Any business, corporation,or individualwho would like to make a donation is encouraged to contact Ms. Bola Majekobaje, PCS Executive Director at 488-3993, bola@palauconservation.org, or visit www.palauconservation.org
