In celebration of Ocean Day 2018 on October 28th, the Palau National Marine Sanctuary is pleased to host the Palau Ocean Night on Friday, October 26th. Marking the 3rd Anniversary of the signing of the RPPL No. 9-49 Palau National Marine Sanctuary Act on October 28th, 2015, the evening event will also include live band MVCE, dance performances, booth games and giveaways, a FOOD VENDOR CONTEST for seafood and pelagic Fish and a COSTUME CONTEST with a sea monster/pelagic fish/ocean theme.

The Art and Video contest was created to engage school-age children about the existence of the Palau National Marine Sanctuary and celebrate the 3rd Anniversary. Contest entries will be judged on Tuesday, October 23rd, and announced at the October 26th Palau Ocean Night.

On Thursday, October 25th, from 8am-4pm, there will be an Ocean Day Clean-up along the mangroves and coastline from Ngermid dock to Ngerbeched dock. The meeting point will be Sansaro, 7:30am, in order to pick up trash to Taoch ra Mechang. For more information, please contact the Palau National Marine Sanctuary Fund Office at 488-4285.
