2020 Olympic Games scholarship Recipients
Through the International Olympic Committee 2020 Tokyo Program, the Palau National Olympic Committee with four Palau targeted sports for the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, announced the Athletes recipients for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Scholarships to support their preparation to the Olympic Games.

The athletes awarded are from Wrestling Blesam Tarkong, Florian Temengil, Christian Nicolesau, from Swimming Osisang Chilton and Noel Keane, Judoka Keiza Tulop, and from Athletics Quinn Uehara. All the athletes received full scholarships from the Olympic program in their preparation to Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. These seven (7) athletes from Palau were identified by their coaches and national sports federations as potential athletes to the games and applied the Olympic scholarship through the Palau National Olympic Committee.
The scholarships takes affect from August 2017 to May 2020. Each Athlete received five hundred twenty five a month for their training support, and $5,000 per year for competition travel costs to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Games. The athletes, with their coaches and respective National Sports Federations, met with Palau NOC to review their scholarship contracts and accepting their commitment and preparation to train to qualify to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The Palau NOC, the respective National Sports Federations of Swimming, Wrestling, Judo and Athletics with the Coaches, and parents extends Congratulations to these seven athletes and wishes them the best of this holiday season and congratulations on their scholarships from the International Olympic Committee.
