Koror, Palau – PNSB Palau National Scholarship Board members had an opportunity to be an audience of one of the PNSB spring 2021 intern presenter Mr. Tabesul Ngirailemesang during the Internship Forum on May 11, 2021. Mr. Ngirailemesang, who recently graduated from the University of Guam with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, is a recipient of the Palau Fellowship Award (internship program) administered by PNSB every year. Other spring 2021 interns completed their internship experiences earlier this year and are now successfully employed here in Palau.
During the Forum, Mr. Ngirailemesang talked about his engaging 2-month internship experience with the ADB Asian Development Bank – Palau Country Office, where he learned a lot about Palau’s plans for economic recovery due to Covid-19 Pandemic. During the internship period, Mr. Ngirailemesang worked closely with key leaders within the Ministry of Finance to apply his skills and knowledge gained from his field of study while in college for the past five years.
He further expressed his gratitude to the members of PNSB for allowing him the opportunity to return home despite the difficulties of travel. In response, PNSB Treasurer Ms. Carol S. Skebong stated “The board is happy to see that the Palau Fellowship Award has been successful in bringing home young and highly educated Palauan college and university graduates to join our nation’s future workforce through this internship program.”
