Diego Terteruich Polycarp, Renewable Energy Specialist, at Palau Public Utilities Corporation will be attending Renewable Energy and Diesel Power Operation in Small Islands, a JICA KCCP Training.

During this training, participants will understand the issues to be considered in the implementation of renewable energy in micro-grid systems. They will understand Japanese policies, systems, organizations, related to the introduction of renewable energies; understand overview of renewable energy technologies and features of PC technology; understand various issues in introducing renewable energies in island countries and remote island area; and understand the concept of Economic Load Dispatch by utilizing diesel power generation.
The course period will be held from January 24 to February 23, 2024 in JICA Okinawa Center.
Howard R. Charles, Jr., Information Technology Technician, at the Ministry of Health & Human Services, has also been accepted to the JICA KCCP Training, ICT Core Personnel Development (C) Information Specialist.
Participants will be capable to design and manage information security systems. Other objectives include the ability to make plans to introduce necessary and feasible information security measures to the organization, to implement information security measures and adopting appropriate countermeasures against attacks, to explain effective solutions to improve information security, and to analyze respective organization’s current state of information security and identifying problems.
The course will be held from January 24 to May 25, 2024 in JICA Okinawa Center, Japan.
