The Palau Public Utility Corporation (PPUC) had been placed in the spotlight once again following the termination of Chief Finance Officer (CFO) Hashinta Idechong last Friday, August 17.
According to a reliable source, Idechong was allegedly fired from her position over allegations of tampering information on a document and for alleged insubordination.
Minority board members Sam Masang, Telchalb Merep, and Roman Bedor were reportedly absent when the decision to terminate Idechong was carried out. They were reported to have been absent since the PPUC elected new officials last July.
Meanwhile, majority of the Board members reportedly approved the decision to terminate Idechong.
Island Times tried to reach a PPUC top official yesterday for some updates on the issue to no avail. (Rhealyn C. Pojas)
