Jan. 18 – This morning, President Tommy E. Remengesau, Jr. received His Excellency Dr. Gordon Kricke’s credentials as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Palau in Ngerulmud, Melekeok.

President Remengesau welcomed Ambassador Kricke to Palau and acknowledged Germany’s ongoing support on a variety of initiatives including the Kramer Ethnology Translation Project.
Ambassador Kricke extended his congratulations to the President on his re-election and expressed his appreciation to the Palauan government for the opportunity to further bilateral ties stating, “I am honored and privileged to work with Palau and committed to strengthening our ties”.

Furthermore, President Remengesau requested Ambassador Kricke’s assistance in supporting Palau’s high-end tourism initiative and to encourage tourism from Germany and the European Union.

Ambassador Kricke is based in the Embassy of Germany in Manila, Philippines.
