On August 10, 2022, the third grade parents and students of Maris Stella School renovated their classroom and activity room. The group of parents initiated Project AAC (Project Adopt-A-Classroom) last summer and renovated the second grade classroom and activity room as a commitment to help the school by renovating each classroom, when necessary along the years of their children at Maris Stella School. Most of the donors, volunteers, parents, grandparents, family, and friends who donated their time, funds, and efforts are Maris Stella School alumni and strong supporters of the school’s mission: “Believing that we are created in God’s image. The mission of the Catholic Mission School of Palau is to nurture the development of our students spiritually, intellectually, morally, socially, and physically – in a Palauan Cultural context – so they may better live out their Catholic faith and answer the Christian call to service.”. Both projects were made possible with blessings and support from the MSS Board, Principal Jose Ise, and Administration.

The Project AAC parents and student members are especially grateful for donations from all our sponsors. Various donations and contributions from friends and family members made the project possible as well. Both Teacher Laureen Ruluked (second grade teacher SY: 21’-22’) and Teacher Gloria Kikuo Worswick (third grade teacher SY: 22’-23’) contributed time and effort to make sure the classrooms were arranged properly. The project lead and designer Leah Whitten Petrus has done a tremendous job in laying out the project and coordinating the numerous efforts that made the project a success. Our mission is simple: “To make a difference one classroom at a time.”

Both projects would not be a SUCCESS without the help and support of our generous donors, supporters, and volunteers. We would like to personally thank all our sponsors for believing in this project and helping us make it a reality! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!
