Green Fair hosted by Palau Visitors Authority (PVA) has consecutively delivered an eventful fair for plant lovers since past eighteen years.
This year PVA welcomed participants/vendors from Koror State Solid Waste Management, Taiwan Technical Mission, Ngchesar State Market, Melekeok State Market, Peleliu State Market, Ekei Market, Farmer’s Market, MJ Burger House, Q-Lala, Mason’s Hardware Do it Center, True value, Loraine Tellei, Omung Association and Japan Embassy (Ikebana Contest).
Ann Kitalong, Gorkas Basilius, and Evelyn Abante were this year’s judges and selected 3 winners out of 12 contestants for the Ornamental category and 3 winners out of 8 contestants for the Medicinal category.
Remurang Renguul who was present at the event taught innovative weaving techniques using fern and Koen Yokoi taught the Japanese art of flower arrangement known as, Ikebana.
This signature event could not have been successful without the help of sponsors.
Bank of Guam donated $1,000.00, Mason’s Hardware donated $487.34, IP&E gave gasoline gift certificates valued at $400.00, Ace Hardware donated $372.38, and True Value donated $137.97.
