April 20, 2017 (Texas, USA) President Remengesau Jr. travel to Dallas, Texas upon invitation of Trammell S. Crow, Chairman and Founder of Texas Earth Day, to join many notable speakers in the largest gathering of Earth Day participants, Earth Day Texas (EDTx).

150,000 attendees, 850 exhibitors and 225 experts are expected at this EDTx event. President Remengesau is expecting to meet former Texas Governor Rick Perry, the current Secretary of Energy of the United States.  Secretary Perry was conferred an honorary citizen status in Palau during his visit in 2015 to Palau.

Remengesau also will be meeting with other US officials that will also be attending this event to promote issues of mutual interests.

Some of the notable speakers joining President Remengesau include Secretary of Energy and former Texas Governor Rick Perry, JB Straubel, Co-founder of CTO Telsa, Susan Eisenhower, granddaughter of President Dwight Eisenhower, Dr. Sylvia A. Earle, famous oceanographer who received the first Hero of the Planet award, Paul Watson, founder of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island among many other distinguished speakers.
