Awarded Outstanding Open Male Athlete at 2016 Regional Athletics Championships

June 6, 2016 (Pohnpei, FSM) Rodman Teltull did it again! Sweeping both Men’s 100 and 200 meters to win 2 Golds for Palau, Teltull clocked 10.51 seconds in 100 meters and 21.93 seconds at 200 meters. This is Teltull’s second competition in Pohnpei where he owned the Men’s 100 meters track event.

Rodman Teltull was awarded the Outstanding Open Male Athlete Award at the 2016 Regional Athletics Championship in Pohnpei State, FSM this past week.
In the Men’s 100 meters, Rodman led at 10.55, followed by Kapier of Pohnpei with 11.01, Jermiah of Nauru with 11.26, Tiru from Guam with 11.26, Jashob from Nauru with 11.47, Ezra of Nauru with 11.50 and Thoew of Yap with 12.48.
In the 200 meters also for Men, Rodman led by 21.93, Kinston Kapier of Pohnpei with 22.93, Matt Wong from Guam with 23.35, Johnny Thoew of Yap with 23.50, Norbin Tiro of Guam with 24.37 and Roy Eliwise of Pohnpei with 24.72.
Another Palauan athlete, a cousin of Rodman Teltull, Iesha Umayam, in her first regional competition, brought in Gold in the 100 meters for women 18 and under.
Team Palau Athletics led by coach Peoria Koshiba bagged 4 gold medals, 2 silvers and 2 bronzes at the recently held 2016 Micronesia Regional Track & Field Championship held in Pohnpei, Federated States this past week. [/restrict]
