Rotary Club of Northern Guam donates over $13K owards Covid-19 for Guam
The Rotary Club of Northern Guam was recently awarded a Rotary Foundation District Grant in the amount of
$5,000 dollars. As part of its efforts to help the community of Guam the club took the opportunity to convert its Foundation Grant to a COVID 19 Project to help the homeless on the island.
Through the assistance of Guam Homeland Security and the Guam Department of Public Health, the organization was able to use the district grant to purchase COVID 19 Test Kits for the homeless.
The Rotary Club of Northern Guam also donated personal protection equipment (masks) to be distributed to the homeless during this pandemic.
The grant was a way for the Rotary Members to help care for and protect people in their communities.
To date the club has received over $13,000 dollars in grant funding to work on community projects. Wayne Santos a member of the club has been the Foundation Grant Chairman for the past 3 years and will continue to work with Incoming President Hermie Queja to secure more funding for projects on Guam.
Under the leadership of President Robert Paulino the club recently made the following COVID-19 donations.
1.The Rotary Club of Northern Guam made a monetary donation of $2K to Catholic Social Services to help replenish food for the food bank.

2.The Rotary Club of Northern Guam also made a $2,000 cash donation to the Salvation Army of Guam to also help purchase food items for their food bank.
