The Sons of Sureor recently completed a project in support of the Ngara Maiberel women’s group of Koror, to improve the flowerbed in front of their building, demarcate the parking lot and conduct additional facelift work around the property.  The Sons of Sureor hopes that this work helps ensure that the Ngara Maiberel can continue their important role in organizing community events that contribute to the wellbeing of our communities and the unique position they play in maintaining and instilling cultural practices to the younger generations.

These efforts were made possible through a grant from the Republic of China and the Palau Small Grant Program for, A Kot a Rechad er Belau – Ensuring Our Safety and Security.  Additional support was generously provided by Governor Eyos Rudimch and the Elilai Seaside Dining Corporation.

Sons of Sureor receives generous donation of $1,000 from Elilai Seaside Dining Corporation: (R-L) Mr. Jason Nolan hands over donation to Sons of Sureor Treasurer, Oscar Becheserrak and Secretary King M. Sam.

The Sons of Sureor is a non-profit organization that aims to create more opportunities for the youth and members of the community through best environmental and cultural practices.  The organization recognizes the importance of involving traditional leaders, government agencies and other organizations and look forward to building strong partnerships and growing its membership.
