South Korean low-cost carrier T’way Air’s aircraft arrived at the Palau International Airport (PIA).

Around 150 passengers on board the T’way Air carrier arrived at the Palau International Airport (PIA) during its first charter flight to Palau on Saturday, August 10.

The service will be the first of the scheduled four charter flights to Palau for the month of August.

The first flight took off from Nagoya, Japan and arrived at midnight in Koror and departed to Incheon, Korea on early Sunday morning.

Three more charter flights bound for Palau from Kansai on August 11 and 14 and another one from Nagoya on August 13 are scheduled for the month of August.

According to the Palau Visitors Authority (PVA), Japanese firm Sojitz Corporation was instrumental to bringing T’way charter flights to Palau.

Sojitz is also the same firm that signed concession agreement with the Palau government for the renovation and expansion of the PIA.
