HAGATNA (PACIFIC ISLAND TIMES) — Governor Lou Leon Guerrero has declared a state of emergency for Guam in anticipation of Tropical Storm Bolaven, which is forecast to hit the Marianas on Tuesday.
With Guam now in Condition of Readiness 2 effective 8 pm, officials urged residents to start making pre-storm preparations.
Concurrently, the Joint Region Marianas, Naval Base Guam, Andersen Air Force Base and Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz are in Tropical Cyclone Condition of Readiness 2 as of 8 pm.
The Department of Defence will delay implementing some of the TCCOR2 actions to minimize the impact on installation services.

The Guam Department of Education is preparing to open certain emergency shelters at 6 pm on Monday.
At COR2, the government of Guam and public schools, with the exception of essential services, will not be operational and will remain closed until COR 4 is announced.
The Guam Solid Waste Authority will operate normally on Monday.
The Guam Behavioural Health and Wellness Centre Pharmacy will be open on Monday from 8 am – 2 p.m.
Guam Memorial Hospital anticipates receiving pregnant mothers who are 36 weeks or more along and all high-risk pregnant mothers who are 24 weeks or more in their pregnancy by 6 pm Monday.
The Guam Community College campus is closed to the public and all scheduled classes, boot camps, and testing have been canceled. The campus will resume operations once the island returns to COR 4 and the campus has been cleared to open.
The Guam legislature will be closed for public services except for essential services, until COR 4 is restored. Legislative proceedings scheduled for Monday, and all dates thereafter until the island is returned to COR 4, are postponed until further notice…. PACNEWS
