Ambassador Jessica Lee of the ROC (Taiwan) presented one grant check of 200,000 US dollars for Micronesian Islands Forum Secretariat(MIFS) to Minister of Finance Kaleb Udui, Jr. on Wednesday, March 22.
MIFS is the administrative body of the Micronesia Islands Forum based in Palau, and Taiwan’s donation will be used to staff professional Secretary General and supporting staff in order to expand the capacity of the MIFS in the post pandemic era.
Taiwan Government is delighted to be part of the regional development and hoping its contribution will assist the build-up a capacity of MIFS for regional wellbeing’s.
