Palau and Taiwan have shared a long-standing relationship that has been built on mutual respect and cooperation. This year, the Republic of China-Taiwan has donated a total of $80,000 to fund Palau’s Independence Day fireworks celebration.
Minister Ngiraibelas Tmetuchl, Ministry of Human Resources, Culture, Tourism and Development, received the donation from H. E. Ambassador Jessica C. Lee on behalf of Palau.
“Taiwan’s generosity enriches our celebration and symbolizes the enduring partnership between our two nations. We look forward to this year’s Independence Day celebration and to many more years of shared moments,” Minister Tmetuchl stated.
