On March 13, Ambassador Jessica C. Lee delivered a check of $1,800 to the Friends of the Palau National Marine Sanctuary (FRIENDS), in support of its Palau Pledge Dive Camp.
Ambassador Jessica C. Lee said the Embassy is proud of FRIENDS’ long term partner to keep Palau pristine and healthy. She recognized that marine conservation and preservation were the DNA of the Palauan. The vision of FRIENDS is to support the Palau National Marine Sanctuary (PNMS), and such support resulted in the creation of the Palau Pledge. President Surangel S. Whips, Jr. has declared that 2024 is the year of “Strengthening our Palauan Workforce”, and the Embassy is delighted to support FRIENDS’ project to echo the effort on marine conservation and preservation.
