While Palau acknowledged and celebrated the Presidents day, Taiwan has started off June with a big announcement for tourists on the occasion of 100th anniversary of the Presidential Office Building.

Taiwan Presidential Office Spokesperson announced on Twitter that tourists visiting Taiwan might win a chance to spend a night at the Presidential Office Building. However, more details of this special event will be given out in the August.

President Tsai Ing-wen who doesn’t hold back in being candor on her social media accounts took it to Twitter and said, “An exciting new project for lucky foreign visitors to help promote #HeartOfAsia! I invite you to visit #Taiwan & experience our people’s hospitality. You may be exclusively selected as special guests in a one-off overnight stay at the Presidential Office Building. Stay tuned!”

Both the Twitter accounts tweeted a video that starts with President Tsai’s voice over suggesting Taiwan to be the friendliest country in the world and then goes on to showcase the Presidential Office Building and the hospitality, culture of Taiwanese.

In a Forbes Magazine article based on a 2018 survey done by Internations on the friendliest countries in the world to live in, Taiwan is placed second while first is Portugal. (By Eshan Kalyanikar)
