The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) has announced that Taiwan Series Tour Talk was launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Palau and Palau High School (PHS).

Aiming to supplement and expand the variety and scope of the teaching subjects for high schools in Palau, Taiwan Series Tour Talk includes the following four Taiwanese professionals and experts who are currently working in Palau: Jamie Chen, Agricultural Specialist in Taiwan Technical Mission; Ching-Hwa Lin, Taiwan Medical Program Coordinator to Palau; Hua-Hsin Hsu, Mandarin Teacher at Palau Community College and Mindszenty High School; and Finska Kuo, Program Coordinator of Taiwan Chang Bing Show Chwan Memorial Hospital to Palau.
These four professionals will give lectures based on their respective expertise to the students of different interests. Chen, possessing the bachelor and master degree from National Taiwan University and previously served in Taiwan Technical Mission in Indonesia, will present her analysis on “The future and predicament of agriculture development in Palau- from the perspective of Taiwan Technical Mission.” Lin, a seasoned registered nurse and once a National Science Council Research Scholarship awardee in Taiwan, will share her thoughts on “You are what you eat-make healthy choices.” Receiving her bachelor degree on Chinese Literature in National Central University in Taiwan and having been teaching mandarin in Palau for two years, Hsu aims to deliver her newly academic exploration on “Taiwanese Indigenous Peoples and Culture – the Austronesian roots of the Pacific Islands.” Widely known as “Waka Waka Lady” and having been working in the Ministry of Health for two years with a registered nurse background, Kuo is inspired to discuss on “Fight the NCDs” to illustrate the importance of staying health.
