VANCOUVER, Wash — Three Palauan nationals who went missing in separate incidents in Washington state have been found safe, bringing relief to their families and supporters who spent weeks searching for them
Jack “Itosang” Ito, 18, was located first after disappearing in early October from Sammamish, Washington. Days later, Deisha Kimiko Simeon, 32, and her partner, Joseph Dylan Chiokai, 34, were found safe after last being heard from in mid-September in Vancouver, Washington.
The families, who had appealed for public help, expressed deep gratitude for the community’s support and the law enforcement efforts that aided in locating their loved ones. Olivia Simeon, Deisha’s sister, shared her thanks on behalf of the family, noting the overwhelming response from friends, volunteers, and officials.
“The collective efforts of so many people brought them home,” Simeon said.
Family members of the three individuals led the search, with online community advocates to share information and follow leads.
The families, relieved by the reunion, extended their gratitude to the public, emphasizing the importance of vigilance and community support in finding missing persons.
For now, they are focused on recovery and reconnecting, hopeful that other missing persons cases can similarly benefit from strong community and law enforcement collaboration
