Legislator Mark Chih -Wei Ho, and Andy Chen -Yuan Chiu along with Parliamentary Members of Japanese LDP visited the Republic of Palau on August 23-26, 2023.

On their visit, Ho and Chiu attended the parliamentary forum focusing on Palau’s social and economic development via technical cooperation and assistance projects. During the trilateral dialogues, they exchanged views with members of OEK on continuing cooperation in education, health, food security and economic development.
While visiting President Surangel S. Whipps Jr., the Taiwanese legislators echo President Whipps’ vision and express their will to help Palau ‘s tourism and economy by increasing tourists from Taiwan and more direct flights.

Senate President Hokkon Baules encourages the tri-lateral assembly become an annual regular meeting held in rotating among the three nations at the post pandemic era.
