Following the taro processing workshop last week, the Horticulture Cultivation and Compost Making Workshop, organized by the Taiwan Technical Mission (TTM) on July 24 in collaboration with the Bureau of Agriculture (BOA), and supported by the Taiwan Embassy, received favorable comments from the participants.

This is the fifth horticulture workshop conducted by TTM and BOA this year.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Jeffery Lin, a horticulture specialist of TTM, Ms. Bernice Sidoi of the BOA and Mr. Hartman Ybelmar from TTM’s demonstration farm. Fifteen people participated in the workshop including from Ngchesar and Ngiwal states.

The workshop provided programs of farmland distribution and management, vegetable seeds and fruit tree seedling propagations, crops cultivation and management, plant pest and disease control and organic compost making. The participants were quite satisfied with a workshop of this nature and enjoyed good learning, discussion and experience sharing in the workshop.

The next workshop will be held on August 21st, 2018. All agencies and organizations are encouraged to participate. Please kindly contact TTM at 4886557, 5441616, or call the Taiwan Embassy at 4888150 for inquiries or registration. (PR)
