On April 17, 2017 the Vice-President and Minister of Justice Raynold B. Oilouch gave his welcoming remarks and officially opens the 10th Basic Police Academy at their location at the Palau Community College Campus.


In his remarks, the Vice-President and Minister stressed the importance of the roles and duties of the Officers in the security of our Island Nation; he further stressed the importance of respect not only to the law enforcement, but to the public most of all and that he urges all member of the academy to follow thru and complete the course.

Right now, there are twenty (20) members of the academy, but there is a chance that this number will increase as more interested individuals are still submitting their applications as of the writing of this release. The Academy is set for a fifteen (15) week period and will cover various courses from Law, Court Systems, Nutrition and Fitness, Law Enforcement, Customs and Labor issues and regulations, and many more.
