On Saturday, October 21, 2017, the Rotary Club of Palau had its annual, fall, Wine and Cheese fund raising event on the grounds of the Belau National Museum. It was a fun filled night for all attendees and a great time was had by all. [restrict] The evening featured wine tasting of selected brands from our primary sponsor, Shimbros International Palau. A silent auction of selected wines was available to all guests until closing but the evening highlight for action and entertainment was the live auction of high quality wines and champagne. The auctions were very successful and raised over $1,000 in funds for Rotary projects in the coming year. This was in addition to monies raised through donations, ticket sales and drinks. In total, over $5,000 was raised by the event and will be used to assist the public and private schools in Palau to start up robotics clubs and/or build obstacle playgrounds.
