Swimmers in the 2024 Grand Prix Leg 1 preparing for Kick Off on Saturday March 30th.

Etpison Cup Sponsored by Palau Sport Fishing Association

Leg 2 of the 2024 Grand Prix Open Water swim challenge kicks off this Saturday (April 13) at the Skojio Ramp (Meyus). This is the second of the annual 3-part series and is sponsored by Palau Sport Fishing Association as part of the 2024 Etpison Cup.

In each leg, swimmers earn points based on their placement in the event. Top point earners qualify to win one of the coveted eco-friendly Grant Prix Trophies made by Koror State glass blowers. Distances are 500 and 1500 meters and 3 and 5 kilometers. There is also a 250 meter introductory swim (but this event does not qualify for a Grand Prix award).

The first leg of the Grand Prix held at the JP Bridge on March 30 was a great success so Palau Aquatics hopes to see many more swimmers down at the ramp. Pre-register at the national pool or via Email (palauswimming@gmail.com) or register at the ramp between 6-6:45 AM on Saturday.
