The Bureau of Public Safety Police blotters recorded four separate vehicular accidents last week.

According to the record furnished to Island Times yesterday, an unknown suspect was driving swiftly from Ochelochel in Airai and had collided to the right front side of a heavy equipment Tire Roller and Compactor Truck along the road near the KB-Shell Gas Station on February 20. The suspect had immediately left the vehicle and fled. The police are still conducting investigation on the incident.

On the same day, another vehicular accident also occurred along the road near Palau Public Utilities Corporation (PPUC) where a female identified as Crystal Ngirarois, 20, was reported in need of assistance after crashing into an MOE sign. Ngirarois was then transported to the hospital for treatment. The case is still under investigation for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Reckless and Negligent Driving.

A separate vehicle-related accident was also recorded on February 21 where male suspect Kelak Smith allegedly collided into another person’s car, causing a dent and scratch, at the parking lot of CK Mansion. The case is under probe for reckless and negligent driving.

Meanwhile, the police also received a report on February 23 about two vehicles that collided into each other in front of Pete Store in Meyuns, Koror.

The responding police officer found that the two vehicles were travelling to Didall area from Meyuns when the suspect identified by the police as Erica Charfauros allegedly rear-ended the victim’s vehicle. The police then arrested the suspect and was confined for negligent and reckless driving. [/restrict]
