Whereas Palau’s 9th OEK retained most of its incumbent senators and delegates, Guam, according to recent report of its November 8th election removed seven out of the 15 incoment senators.

According to reports, people of Guam were focusing on issues as opposed to name recognition and family affiliations.

A controversial issue that is credited to the ousting  almost half of the incumbent Senators was the pay raise increase of elected and appointed officials approved after the 2014 Guam General Election.

Senators that got voted out include Republicans Brant McCreadie, Tony Ada and Frank Blas Jr., and Democrats Rory Respicio and Tina Muña Barnes.

Speaker Judith Won Pat, D-Inarajan, and Nerissa Underwood, D-Tamuning also were voted out. [/restrict]
